Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at St John Ambulance. As a key member of our Financial Reporting Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our statutory and management accounting service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, reconcile, and prepare accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure that income is correctly accrued or deferred, and allocate indirect costs to support the production of management accounts.
  • Identify and correct errors within the accounting ledger to maintain the integrity of our financial records.
  • Analyze and calculate financial information, including detailed breakdowns of accrual, prepayment, deferred, and accrued income balances.
  • Review performance data, analyze material variances, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure explanations and resolutions are provided.
  • Support the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets, as well as the year-end financial statements and statutory audit.
