About the Role

Sewell Wallis is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team on an initial 3-month basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure within a finance team, within a reputable business that has a strong track record for progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Entry and Reconciliation: Accurately enter financial documents, reconcile purchase orders to invoices received, and ensure proper coding.
  • Finance Queries and Support: Respond to finance-based queries from internal and external stakeholders via email and telephone.
  • Supplier Account Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier accounts and statements, and process and answer queries and questions around expense claims.
  • AP Specialist Support: Assist the AP Specialists in responding to complex finance queries.
  • Payment Run and Month-End Deadlines: Work quickly and accurately to meet payment run and month-end deadlines.
Requirements
  • Accounts Payable Experience: Experience/knowledge of the accounts payable function.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: An excellent telephone manner.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail as accuracy is important.
