About Us: Lancashire County Council delivers catering services to over 500 educational institutions across the region, providing more than 60,000 meals daily. We are seeking dedicated professionals to enhance our service.

Role Overview: As a key member of the team at St Mary's Primary, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established menus and production schedules.
  • Oversee and guide other staff members.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and control stock levels.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A recognized catering qualification and/or food hygiene certification is preferred.
  • Experience in catering for large groups is advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Previous experience in food preparation and catering is desirable.

Working Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 28.75 hours per week, with hours varying based on meal demand.
  • Term time only, plus 4 cleaning days during school breaks.

Additional Information: This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Please note that the salary mentioned is based on full-time equivalent; actual pay will be on a pro-rata basis.
