New Focus is dedicated to providing exceptional support to adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges across East Lancashire. We are currently seeking a Team Leader to oversee our community social care service.

Position Overview

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team that supports approximately 5 individuals. You will work closely with 2 Senior Project Workers and a dedicated group of support staff and administrative personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and management of your service area, ensuring all planned activities are executed effectively.
  • Set daily priorities and provide senior-level support and guidance during team meetings.
  • Foster collaboration among various project components to create a supportive team environment.
  • Assist the service manager with project oversight and act in their stead when necessary.
  • Engage directly with individuals receiving support as needed, while supervising staff and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Manage financial documentation, risk assessments, care plans, and other relevant records.
  • Stay informed about key issues in Health and Social Care, CQC standards, and other pertinent topics.
  • Coordinate with fellow team leaders to ensure seamless operation across different projects and maintain awareness of staff strengths and needs.

Qualifications
  • Proven management experience with an NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
  • Significant background in care-related roles, particularly in the learning disability sector.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to collaborative work with colleagues and management to ensure efficient service delivery and a proactive approach to developing new services.
  • A shared passion for our organizational values.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota on a shared basis.
