Senior Clinical Leader for Older People Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Leader to join our team at Kings College Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving, championing, and defending gold standard care for Older People.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical, strategic, and professional leadership for Older People nursing, ensuring safe, effective, caring, well-led, and responsive care.
- Operate as a source of expertise and work closely with senior medical colleagues to develop and implement high-quality care services.
- Lead well-established, supportive, and collaborative multi-disciplinary teams dedicated to ensuring high-quality care for Older People.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and leadership for Older People care services Trust-wide, in conjunction with senior medical colleagues.
- Function as an expert practitioner, delivering high-quality care to patients and families on their caseload.
- Drive the training, education, and development of nurses and allied health professionals working in the department.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service quality and patient experience for Older People.
- Represent the service at local, national, and international meetings to promote the Older Persons care agenda and academic teams.
- Management qualification or significant senior management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Evidence of post-registration education at degree level in a relevant specialty.
- Engaged in or committed to doctoral qualification.
- Evidence of significant professional and managerial development, including a comprehensive and relevant CPD portfolio.
- ENB 998/Teaching qualification or equivalent.
- Counselling qualification.
- In-depth experience of working in a specialist clinical capacity and as a senior clinical leader.
- Experience of clinical practice development and applying continuous quality improvement methodology to develop services.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in supporting and managing complex psychosocial situations.
- Knowledge of current developments in nursing and political awareness of the NHS.
- Experience of managing a clinical team, including human resources management.
- Experience of independent research.
- Educational experience and an ability to design and deliver educational programs to meet the needs of health professionals.
- Experience of developing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of standard setting, ability to work with academics to develop research and audit driven by clinical priorities.
- Detailed knowledge of current clinical professional issues relevant to the field.
- Evidence of driving leading-edge clinical practice, supported by advanced theoretical and practical knowledge.
- Ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of health policy.
- Ability to develop strategic priorities and organize staff and resources to achieve high-quality patient care and delivery of quality targets.
- Highly advanced planning, organizational, leadership, and communication skills, including the ability to prioritize competing tasks in a highly complex and dynamic environment.
- Ability to demonstrate clinical and personal credibility to a range of internal and external stakeholders, forging productive long-term relationships.
- Ability to handle and analyze highly complex information and deliver key messages to a range of staff, including experienced clinicians and managers.
- Committed to the delivery of holistic services, quality-driven, safe, person-centered, timely, equitable, efficient, and effective.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work autonomously to deliver a highly complex range of priorities in a timely fashion.
- A team player and able to work collaboratively.
- Emotionally resilient and able to manage a fluctuating workload in a dynamic environment.
- Adept at networking and forging sustainable, productive relationships at all levels within the local, regional, and national health and care economy.
