Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at Kings College Hospital as a Senior Clinical Lead for Older People Care. This is an exciting opportunity to drive, champion, and defend gold standard care for older adults.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical, strategic, and professional leadership for older people nursing, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care strategies and policies.
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Collaborate with senior medical colleagues to drive service improvement and quality enhancement.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs to meet the needs of healthcare professionals.
  • Represent the service at local, national, and international meetings to promote the older adults care agenda.
Requirements
  • Advanced clinical practice experience in gerontological nursing.
  • Management qualification or significant senior management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • Evidence of significant professional and managerial development, including a comprehensive and relevant CPD portfolio.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Expert knowledge of current clinical professional issues relevant to gerontological nursing.
  • Ability to develop strategic priorities and organize staff and resources to achieve high-quality patient care.
  • Highly advanced planning, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
