Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Leader to join our team at Kings College Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving and championing gold standard care for older people.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical, strategic, and professional leadership for older people nursing services, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for older people care services, in collaboration with senior medical colleagues.
  • Function as an expert practitioner, delivering high-quality care to patients and families on your caseload.
  • Develop and lead training, education, and development programs for nurses and allied health professionals working in older people care.
  • Drive improvement in service quality and patient experience for older people in hospital and care homes.
  • Take a direct role in service development, research, and evaluation.
  • Line manage a team of professionals, demonstrating a supportive, person-centered, and motivational approach.
Requirements
  • Management qualification or significant senior management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • Evidence of post-registration education at degree level in a relevant specialty.
  • Engaged in or committed to doctoral qualification.
  • Evidence of significant professional and managerial development, including a comprehensive and relevant CPD portfolio.
  • ENB 998/Teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Counselling qualification.
Skills and Competencies
  • Detailed knowledge of current clinical professional issues relevant to the field.
  • Evidence of driving leading-edge clinical practice, supported by advanced theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • Ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of health policy.
  • Ability to develop strategic priorities and organize staff and resources to achieve high-quality patient care and delivery of quality targets.
  • Highly advanced planning, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
