We are seeking a skilled L2 Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support on desktop engineering activities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in a safety critical/high security/high quality industrial environment. SC clearance is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support on desktop engineering activities.
  • Handle daily technical support activities on desktop support, data network, and server management.
  • Grow clients and communicate with Account Managers by determining new opportunities.
  • Provide break-fix support for desktops, laptops, and other components.
  • Set up desktop computers and peripherals and test network connections.
  • Install and test desktop software applications and internet browsers.
  • Test computers to ensure proper functioning of computer systems.
  • Support mobile devices for registration in BES or Intune environments.
  • Train end-users on computer hardware and software usage.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and replace hardware components (e.g., laptop keyboards, RAM).
  • Develop and manage effective professional working relationships with contractor personnel, coworkers, and clients.
  • Adhere to policies as per corporate manuals and directives.
  • Extend computer support for systems software and hardware.
  • Set up computers and install software for various applications and programs.
  • Interact with staff on desktop problems and their resolution.
  • Network and connect computers within the organization to enhance communication.
  • Maintain computer peripheral devices (e.g., printers) and resolve associated problems.
  • Level 2 support experience in troubleshooting and fixing audio-visual equipment onsite.
  • Maintain devices inside data centers and resolve associated problems.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in desktop support and executive support.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer hardware.
  • Good knowledge of desktop operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of network management.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Sound knowledge of software deployment through various tools.
  • Sound knowledge of application packaging, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong experience in handling issues in Windows OS.
  • Constantly seek to improve technical knowledge and research new product capabilities.
  • Share global threat updates with cross-functional teams to create awareness on an as-needed basis.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in project meetings with customers when needed.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and fixing audio-visual equipment.
  • SC clearance is mandatory.
