Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an Autism Support Specialist, you will work closely with children in KS1 or KS2 with Autism, providing individualized support and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with Autism, with experience in creating and implementing personalized support plans. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with the children, parents, and teachers, and for providing regular progress updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with Autism, focusing on their individual needs and goals
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, in collaboration with teachers and parents
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and teachers, and provide regular progress updates
  • Work closely with the teaching team to ensure seamless integration of support services
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with Autism, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and teachers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism
