Position Overview

Essential Skills and Competencies

Proven experience in community outreach and collaborative partnership development within a health-focused environment.

Ability to establish and nurture partnerships from the ground up.

Enthusiastic and proactive, with a talent for inspiring, engaging, and facilitating partnership initiatives.

Strong communication skills; a confident and approachable speaker who tailors messages to suit diverse audiences and possesses a holistic view for problem-solving in community integration.

Ability to cultivate robust relationships; promote trust and collaboration among colleagues, stakeholders, community leaders, and service providers.

Quality-oriented; consistently pursue high standards and actively seek opportunities for improvement.

Open-minded and receptive to innovative ideas and perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

This role operates under the supervision of the Head of Strategic Partnerships. The position is dynamic, challenging, and fulfilling as you contribute to the service through implementation, delivery, and continuous innovation.

Role Purpose:

You will serve as the Community Partnerships Coordinator for a designated area within the Integrated Wellbeing Service.

Your primary focus will be to engage at the neighborhood level to enhance referrals into the service and establish enduring relationships with local partners. This includes developing and sustaining strong, positive connections with a variety of stakeholder groups, such as local authorities, healthcare providers, recreational services, and the community and voluntary sectors.

You should be a motivated, passionate, organized, and proactive communicator, with experience in community settings. The organization adopts a strengths-based, asset-focused approach to community engagement, emphasizing innovation and collaboration rather than duplicating existing services. The role demands flexibility and a commitment to the vision and values of the Integrated Wellbeing Service, supporting individuals in leading healthier lives.

No two days will be identical in this versatile and adaptable role. If you are equally comfortable collaborating with a team and working independently with new contacts while maintaining excellent organizational skills, this position may be suitable for you.

This role is demanding, but you will have the support of ABL's experienced and friendly multidisciplinary team, including health and social care professionals, business intelligence experts, service development specialists, governance, finance, and business development personnel. Additionally, established delivery teams will be available to assist you in advancing the service.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Head of Strategic Partnerships, this role will be diverse, challenging, and rewarding as you assist in the service's development through implementation, delivery, and ongoing innovation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Executing the Community Engagement Strategy to promote the Integrated Wellbeing Service.
  2. Collaborating with the communications team to enhance the visibility of the service.
  3. Engaging local services and partners to raise awareness and explore collaborative opportunities.
  4. Working closely with operational teams to manage referral rates and develop partnerships with potential referrers.
  5. Organizing and attending meetings with healthcare practices to promote the service and sustain referral pathways.
  6. Participating in local health forums and meetings to represent the organization, promote the service, and maintain partnerships.
  7. Collaborating with all members of the Integrated Wellbeing Service team and providing support in other areas as needed.
  8. Assisting in the monitoring and evaluation of the service, utilizing feedback to inform service development.
  9. Maintaining an updated partnership database with all relevant contacts and strategic developments.
  10. Attending team meetings and providing updates on engagement efforts, contributing to quarterly reports as required.
  11. Reporting on relevant targets and providing regular updates on project progress.
  12. Supporting communication strategies, including public events, training sessions, and promotional materials.
  13. Being innovative and open to new ideas and pilot initiatives.
  14. Facilitating co-production activities with local residents and stakeholders to support ongoing service development.
  15. Providing coverage for sessions as needed due to absences.
