About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality speech and language services to children across the Oldham area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, develop, and implement speech and language therapy packages of care for children with a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to provide functional targets and high-quality care for children and families.
  • Organize and manage a speech and language caseload with support from your line manager, alongside opportunities to shadow colleagues and attend specific pathway meetings.
  • Provide clinical advice to others, including parents/carers, school staff, and other professionals regarding the management and care of children with communication difficulties.
  • Work alongside education, local authority, and early years partners, supporting a graduated approach to helping children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Requirements
  • Relevant experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
  • Qualified and registered speech and language therapist.
  • Implementation of evidence-based interventions.
  • Experience of assessment for a wide range of children's speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Health Professions Council - Licence to Practice.
  • Recognized Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses.
