Position Overview

Join our prestigious Aether Hospitality Team as a Chef de Partie, where you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. This position is based at Manchester Airport's exclusive Aether Private Terminal, offering a permanent full-time contract with a competitive hourly wage of £14.75, inclusive of a 17.5% shift allowance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of dishes meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Lead and mentor Commis Chefs, guiding them in their daily tasks and culinary development.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Uphold food quality and safety standards, implementing best practices in health and hygiene.
  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established procedures and recipes.
  • Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary and ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Assist in training new staff, ensuring adherence to high standards of presentation and service.

Qualifications for Success

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • NVQ Level 2 Commis Chef or equivalent culinary qualifications.
  • A strong background in hospitality, particularly in high-end dining environments.
  • Experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef, demonstrating readiness for advancement.
  • Advanced culinary skills and techniques in food preparation and production.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for ingredient handling.
  • A proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality dining experiences.
  • Understanding of supply chain management and sustainable kitchen practices.

Work Schedule

This role requires flexibility, with shifts that may start as early as 3:00 AM and conclude as late as 10:30 PM. Aether operates seven days a week.
