About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employee Relations Manager and Team Lead to join our team at GSK. As a key member of our Employee Relations function, you will be responsible for delivering the ER service in the aligned cluster and supporting ER activity across other countries, as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complex Case Management: Directly manage complex local and regional ER cases involving internal and external legal, multiple stakeholders, and local ER processes to deliver ER outcomes in line with GSK values and expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the aligned ER team, ensuring ongoing development and talent management, including coaching ER team members in ER case strategy and innovative approaches to problem-solving.
  • ER Expertise: Be seen as an expert in ER matters across the cluster/country, providing training and guidance to ensure consistent implementation of ER processes, identifying root causes where ER KPIs are not met, and developing action plans to address.
  • Business Insights: Provide insights to the business based on ER trends, recommending interventions, and taking a governance approach to ensure actions are delivered to prevent further ER risks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the cluster/country, including HR Country Heads and HRBLs, through advice and proactive stakeholder management.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Consult and collaborate with the Community of Practice, partners, and Legal teams on complex employee investigations, including supporting the local employment law team with employment tribunal/litigation cases, as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in employee relations, industrial relations, human resources, law, business, or any other relevant function.
  • Experience: Robust and proven background in ER and/or IR, with experience in multiple industries and/or markets.
  • Project Management: Experience in delivering complex project management in a matrix structure, involving multiple stakeholders at pace.
  • Innovative Thinking: Innovative thinking to drive changes and process improvements.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work in a complex, matrix, and multi-cultural environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills, business acumen, and ability to analyze trends of ER data.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills essential.
