We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employee Relations Manager to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional employee relations services across our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Relations Management: Directly manage complex local and regional employee relations cases, involving internal and external legal, multiple stakeholders, and local processes to deliver employee relations outcomes in line with our company values and expectations.
- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the aligned employee relations team, ensuring ongoing development and talent management, including coaching of employee relations team members in relation to employee relations case strategy and innovative approaches to problem-solving.
- Expertise and Training: Be seen as an expert in employee relations matters across the cluster/country, providing training and guidance to ensure consistent implementation of employee relations processes, while identifying root causes where employee relations KPIs are not met and developing action plans to address.
- Insights and Recommendations: Provide insights to the business based on employee relations trends, recommending interventions taking a governance approach to ensure actions are delivered to prevent further employee relations risks, through suitable CAPAs in place where identified for the cluster.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the cluster/country, including HR Country Heads and HR Business Leaders, through advice and proactive stakeholder management.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Consult and collaborate with the Community of Practice, partners, and Legal teams on complex employee investigations, including supporting the local employment law team with employment tribunal/litigation cases where required.
- Deputization: Deputize, if and where required, for the Regional Employee Relations Lead, including RMCBs and other local and regional meetings as required, using your experience and knowledge to lead and drive the agenda.
- Education and Qualifications: Degree in employee relations, industrial relations, human resources, law, business, or any other relevant function.
- Experience and Skills: Robust and proven background in employee relations and/or industrial relations, with experience in delivery of complex project management in a matrix structure, involving multiple stakeholders at pace. Innovative thinking to drive changes and process improvements. Ability to work in a complex, matrix, and multi-cultural environment. Excellent leadership skills, business acumen, and ability to analyze trends of employee relations data.
- Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Experience and understanding in HR practices and policies, multi-country jurisdiction is advantageous. Additional qualifications in employee relations/HR.
