About the Company

Appoint Group is a leading national UK provider of health and social care services for adults with complex, severe, and enduring mental health challenges. We are seeking a Nurse Qualified Deputy Manager for our 59-bed Dementia service and 21-bed Mental Health and challenging behaviours Unit within our specialist care home.

About the Job Role of Deputy Manager

  • To support the Registered Manager with the overall management of the service, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided for our Service Users.
  • To lead and support a diverse team of staff, encouraging them to achieve and exceed their full potential.
  • To ensure all staff under supervision have the right leadership, effective organization, support, training, and preparation to carry out their work effectively.
  • To promote a safe, well-structured environment where Service Users are treated respectfully, decently, and holistically.
  • To plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate nursing interventions for Service Users.
  • To provide ongoing monitoring of care and service provision.
  • To actively participate in clinical team meetings and other multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • To ensure a high standard of nursing in the application of clinical nursing procedures and treatment, in accordance with clinical governance and clinical effectiveness.

Requirements of the Job Role of Nurse Qualified Deputy Manager (RGN/RMN):

  • Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RGN/RMN)
  • Clear NMC PIN without restriction
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK (British Passport or Biometric Card)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within mental health environment desirable
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Demonstrable values and a commitment to leading and supporting a diverse team of staff
  • Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to hospital care services and risk management
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to develop and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for staff and residents
  • Experience in building positive working relationships with patients, their families, staff, and other health and social care professionals
