Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Night Manager to join our team at Menzies Distribution. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of our Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: You will be responsible for overseeing a team of Warehouse Operatives, providing coaching, training, and motivating them to achieve exceptional performance.
  • Operational Management: You will work closely with our Operations Manager to manage a challenging daily workload, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Quality and Safety: You will be responsible for maintaining quality standards, ensuring that all staff have completed necessary Health & Safety training, and maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy warehouse environment.
  • Training and Development: You will provide training to all staff and contractors to ensure they are able to undertake their duties effectively, efficiently, and safely.
  • Reporting and Communication: You will provide a 'hand over report' to the oncoming Shift Manager, ensuring seamless communication and continuity.

Requirements:

  • Computer Literacy: You will be proficient in using computer systems and software.
  • Leadership and Management: You will have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Communication: You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: You will have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
