We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Management Accounting to join our Finance senior management team at Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Management Accounts function, which includes financial planning, financial reporting, and costing. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Deputy Director of Finance, Head of Contracts and Tender Management, Head of Procurement, and Head of Financial Accounts to drive business partnership and excellence within the organisation.
Main Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Reporting: Ensure the Trust's Annual and long-term Financial Plan is prepared and submitted within the required deadlines. Produce accurate and relevant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial monitoring information to enable monitoring against this plan.
- Financial Management and Monitoring: Lead on the provision of financial management advice to Trust Clinical and Corporate Directorates to enable them to meet targets set by the Board. Ensure the production of Trust financial management and monitoring information to a strict monthly timetable.
- Contract Negotiations and Management: Finance lead on Contract negotiations and management, working closely with the Deputy Director of Finance and other stakeholders.
- Financial Systems and Processes: Co-ordinate the work undertaken by Finance Business Partners, Senior Finance Manager, and Project Accountant to establish a financial management, monitoring, and performance reporting framework for Directorates.
- Costing and Pricing: Develop and implement costing systems, processes, and information to provide accurate costing information for clinical services. Take the lead role in developing Service Line Reporting/Management and Patient Level Costing.
- Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: Co-ordinate within the Management Accounting function to ensure knowledge is shared to improve the accuracy and understanding of the Trust's cost base.
- Business Planning and Contracting: Participate in all relevant multi-disciplinary decision making, with particular regard to Business Planning and Contracting.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in leading teams and driving business partnership. They will be able to demonstrate highly developed knowledge, experience, and expertise in a complex organisation, with the ability to lead a team with numerous competing priorities.
