Business Development Manager for Superdrug Marketplace

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our Superdrug Marketplace team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in expanding our Marketplace by acquiring new business and nurturing existing sellers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Seller Recruitment and Pipeline Development
    • Actively pitch and recruit new sellers to build a strategically focused seller pipeline.
    • Create compelling content to effectively pitch to potential sellers.
    • Stay updated on emerging market trends to ensure the seller pipeline reflects current opportunities.
    • Identify new category opportunities using market data and demonstrate their commercial potential.
  • Seller Onboarding and Compliance
    • Execute the go-live strategy for new sellers in collaboration with the Trading Manager.
    • Work with the Account Manager to ensure smooth and timely onboarding that meets both seller and Marketplace needs.
    • Ensure new sellers comply with Superdrug Marketplace's KPIs and standards.
  • Promotion and Communication
    • Support the Trading Manager by scheduling promotional activities for sellers in line with the event calendar.
    • Lead on comms for internal business communications and updated, highlighting opportunities, risks, and successes.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting
    • Measure, report, and drive key inputs and outputs to ensure Marketplace seller growth.
    • Provide excellent administrative support, including creating and updating internal documentation.
    • Supporting with IT on feature development.
