The Role
We're looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join our Superdrug Marketplace team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in expanding our Marketplace by acquiring new business and nurturing existing sellers. You will collaborate closely with our Marketplace Senior Manager, Account Manager, and Marketplace Trading Manager to drive our 'best in class' Marketplace proposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Seller Recruitment and Pipeline Development
- Actively pitch and recruit new sellers to build a strategically focused seller pipeline.
- Create compelling content to effectively pitch to potential sellers.
- Stay updated on emerging market trends to ensure the seller pipeline reflects current opportunities.
- Identify new category opportunities using market data and demonstrate their commercial potential.
- Seller Onboarding and Compliance
- Execute the go-live strategy for new sellers in collaboration with the Trading Manager.
- Work with the Account Manager to ensure smooth and timely onboarding that meets both seller and Marketplace needs.
- Ensure new sellers comply with Superdrug Marketplace's KPIs and standards.
- Promotion and Communication
- Support the Trading Manager by scheduling promotional activities for sellers in line with the event calendar.
- Lead on comms for internal business communications and updated, highlighting opportunities, risks, and successes.
- Performance Measurement and Reporting
- Measure, report, and drive key inputs and outputs to ensure Marketplace seller growth.
- Provide excellent administrative support, including creating and updating internal documentation.
- Supporting with IT on feature development.
