Job Title: Receptionist/Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Receptionist/Administrator at our medical practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service to patients, responding to their queries and concerns in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Manage patient appointments, ensuring that all services are delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all information is secure and confidential.
- Process patient prescription requests, letters, and forms, ensuring that they are signed off by the appropriate clinical lead.
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including photocopying, filing, and data entry.
- Maintain the practice's waiting area, ensuring that it is clean and tidy at all times.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the practice team, helping to develop and promote a positive working culture.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and external agencies, ensuring that all interactions are professional and courteous.
- Prioritize and plan own work activities, ensuring that all diverse operational requirements are achieved.
- Provide additional support during times of sickness and holidays, as required.
- Work flexibly as a member of the Reception/Administration Team, ensuring that cover is provided at all times.
Person Specification:
- Experience of reception work and working with General Practice.
- Good standard of general education, including GCSE Mathematics and English.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- IT skills, including Microsoft Word.
- Clear and polite telephone manner.
- Time management and ability to work to deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills.
- Smart, polite, and confident.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Adaptability and ability to use initiative.
- Team player and self-motivated.
- Confidentiality and flexibility.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, colleagues, and external agencies.
