Head of Events and Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Event Operations Director to lead our events team and deliver complex event plans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event management, with experience in managing direct reports and leading multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement event plans, including traffic management, security, and crowd control.
- Manage a team of event staff, including casual workers, to ensure seamless event execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-level event delivery and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Oversee the development and implementation of risk assessments, traffic management plans, and crowd management plans.
- Manage company equipment, stock, vehicles, and uniforms across the UK.
- Stay up-to-date with industry innovations and best practices, attending industry events and conferences as required.
- Work with the training department to ensure all casual workforce have a training pathway to ensure compliance with stewarding and traffic management guidance.
- Ensure all relevant processes and procedures are followed by the team and are fully compliant with all British Standards and legal requirements.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports to management highlighting areas of concern and escalating any future challenges or risks.
- Work closely with Finance/Payroll to ensure hours are recorded accurately and pay is processed appropriately for work completed.
- Protect sensitive personal data, ensuring it is handled in full compliance with GDPR requirements.
- 5+ years' experience in an operational/events environment.
- 5+ years' experience in line management, with a proven track record of effective coaching and mentoring.
- SIA DS license (desirable).
