We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our event operations team, overseeing the delivery of complex event plans, including traffic management, security, and stewarding. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing direct reports at various venues across the UK, from London to Burnley and beyond.
When not on site, you will be based at our head office in Coventry, where you will create traffic and crowd management plans, conduct risk assessments, and prepare for weekend deployments. This role requires flexibility, with regular late nights and weekends, but offers a competitive salary and a rewarding career path with opportunities for advancement.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with our casual teams on the ground and maintain high-level stakeholder relationships. You will be responsible for ensuring all events have comprehensive operations packs, including up-to-date risk assessments, traffic management plans, crowd management plans, and commercial plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing event operations strategies to ensure seamless delivery of events
- Managing company equipment, stock, vehicles, and uniforms across the UK
- Staying up-to-date with industry innovations and best practices, attending industry events, and contributing to the development of company policies and procedures
- Collaborating with the training department to ensure all casual workforce receive comprehensive training and development opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including British Standards and GDPR requirements
- Providing regular reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and escalating any future challenges or risks
- Working closely with the finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate recording of hours and payment processing
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in an operational or events environment
- 5+ years' experience in line management, with a proven track record of effective coaching and mentoring
- SIA DS license (desirable)
