Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Event Operations and Logistics to join our team at Stadium Traffic Management Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering complex event plans, managing direct reports, and ensuring the smooth execution of events across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement event plans, including traffic management, security, and crowd control
  • Manage a team of operations staff, including operations managers, coordinators, and event day managers
  • Lead on all service lines, including event traffic management, security, stewarding, and parking
  • Ensure all events have comprehensive operations packs, including risk assessments, traffic management plans, and commercial plans
  • Manage company equipment, stock, vehicles, and uniforms across the UK
  • Stay up-to-date with industry innovations and best practices, attending industry events and conferences as required
  • Work closely with the staffing and recruitment manager to ensure the correct number and quality of resources are available
  • Lead on all event day HR issues and work with HR to resolve and rectify
  • Provide detailed and accurate reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and escalating any future challenges or risks
  • Ensure all relevant processes and procedures are followed by the team and are fully compliant with all British Standards and legal requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in an operational/events environment
  • 5+ years' experience in line management, with a proven track record of effective coaching and mentoring
  • UK driving license and extensive UK travel essential
  • SIA DS license desirable (we can train and qualify you)
