Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Operations Manager to join our team at Next-Link. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our operations team, leading service lines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality events and services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and Develop the Operations Team: Evaluate and monitor the performance of the operations team, providing feedback and coaching to ensure they receive continued development and growth opportunities.
- Lead Service Lines: Oversee the delivery of event traffic management, SIA DS & CCTV Security, Event Stewarding, Hostile Vehicle Mitigation, Event Parking & Sales, and other service lines.
- Ensure Event Operations Packs: Develop and maintain up-to-date risk assessments, traffic management plans, crowd management plans, and commercial plans for all events.
- Work with Other Function Heads: Collaborate with other function heads to anticipate future operational needs, manage resources efficiently, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Manage Company Equipment and Resources: Oversee the management of company equipment, stock, vehicles, and uniforms across the UK.
- Implement Growth Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to ensure company growth and services development, managing operations and retaining customers.
- Industry Leadership: Stay up-to-date with industry innovations and attend industry events, such as FSOA & SGSA, to ensure Next-Link remains a leader in the industry.
- HR and Recruitment: Lead on event day HR issues, work with HR to resolve and rectify, and assist in the recruitment and staffing of deployments.
- Workforce Management: Manage the welfare, safety, and morale of the 1100 frontline workforce to ensure Next-Link is the employer of choice within the industry.
- Training and Compliance: Work with the training department to ensure all casual workforce have a training pathway, ensuring compliance with stewarding and traffic management guidance.
- Reporting and Compliance: Provide detailed and accurate reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and escalating any future challenges or risks in a timely manner.
- Finance and Payroll: Ensure accurate hours are recorded and pay is processed appropriately for work completed.
- Data Protection: Ensure sensitive personal data is handled in full compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Client Relationships: Support other function leads in the development of client relationships, ensuring an excellent and responsive service is provided at all times.
- Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, ensuring any communications are dealt with responsively.
- Senior Management Support: Support the Senior Management Team with the production of content for quotes/tenders and attend presentations as required.
- 5 Years Experience: Demonstrated experience in an operational/events environment, with a proven track record of effective coaching and mentoring.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- UK Driving Licence: Must hold a UK driving licence and have extensive UK travel experience.
- L4 Spectator Safety: Desirable to have L4 Spectator Safety certification.
- SIA DS License: Desirable to have SIA DS license.
- Lantra 12D M6: Must have Lantra 12D M6 certification.
