When not on site, you will be based at our head office in Coventry, where you will create traffic and crowd management plans, conduct risk assessments, and prepare for weekend deployments. This role requires flexibility, with regular late nights and weekends, but offers a competitive salary and a rewarding career path that could lead to an operations director role.

The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder relationships, be able to work effectively with our casual teams on the ground, and possess strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for ensuring all events have comprehensive operations packs, including up-to-date risk assessments, traffic management plans, crowd management plans, and commercial plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing event operations strategies to ensure seamless delivery
  • Managing company equipment, stock, vehicles, and uniforms across the UK
  • Staying up-to-date with industry innovations and best practices, attending events such as FSOA and SGSA
  • Collaborating with the training department to ensure all casual workforce have a training pathway to meet stewarding and traffic management guidelines
  • Ensuring all relevant processes and procedures are followed, and the team remains compliant with British Standards and legal requirements
  • Providing detailed reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and escalating future challenges or risks
  • Working closely with Finance/Payroll to ensure accurate hours recording and pay processing
  • Protecting sensitive personal data, ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in operational/events environments
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in line management, with a proven track record of effective coaching and mentoring
  • SIA DS license (desirable)
