INTRODUCTION

As we expand our team, we are excited to welcome an HR Apprentice to our People Team, where you will gain comprehensive exposure to the world of Human Resources while pursuing your CIPD Level 3 qualification or higher.

YOUR ROLE

In the capacity of an HR Apprentice, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic People role, collaborating with our team to ensure seamless coordination of all HR functions. You will be supported throughout your learning journey by a close-knit group of professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your daily tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the Employee Handbook, known as our Barefoot Code, ensuring it is regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Assisting with compliance tasks related to B-Corp, Health & Safety, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, HMRC, and Payroll. No prior knowledge is necessary; you will learn as you go.
  • Updating and maintaining People documentation, including templates, contracts, and policies.
  • Gaining proficiency in our People systems and proactively implementing necessary updates.
  • Preparing and organizing Payroll processes.
  • Managing the People Inbox, responding to inquiries, and directing emails to the appropriate team members.
  • Supporting the analysis and reporting of employee data regarding joiners and leavers.
  • Taking charge of our comprehensive Benefits package, which includes healthcare, allowances, and travel benefits.
  • Contributing to broader People initiatives.
  • Attending college in Bristol to work towards your CIPD Level 3 qualification, typically one afternoon per week.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in HR or People Management.
  • Familiarity with office environments, although this is not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to navigate bespoke in-house systems.

  • Strong organizational skills and a track record of meeting deadlines.
