The Critical Care Unit at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is a vibrant and fast-paced environment that requires a dedicated and enthusiastic team to navigate its sometimes demanding nature. Our unit consists of 8 beds, including 5 Level 3 (Intensive Care) beds and 3 Level 2 (High Dependency) beds. We are seeking a compassionate and professional Administrative Support Specialist to join our effective team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. Candidates should have experience interacting with the public and managing challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will undertake a diverse range of administrative and clerical tasks to support the nursing and medical staff in the seamless operation of the ward. Responsibilities include ensuring the safekeeping and accessibility of all patient clinical records, facilitating the efficient functioning of the ward/department office, and assisting in the management of Trust Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to the ward area. The role also involves responding to telephone inquiries and welcoming visitors to the unit in a professional and compassionate manner. Collaboration with counterparts in the Critical Care Unit and close liaison with the Audit Lead overseeing the Admin Team will be essential. The position will involve sharing responsibilities with the current post-holder and working on alternate days.
