The Role: Specialist Behavioural Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Specialist Behavioural Support Worker to join our team in Newham. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health challenges. Your primary focus will be on implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies, fostering personal growth, and creating a nurturing environment for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough observations and analyses of behavioral patterns to gain a comprehensive understanding of individual needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized behavior support plans in collaboration with individuals, families, and other professionals.
  • Engage individuals in meaningful community activities to promote social interaction, skill development, and personal fulfillment.
  • Provide essential personal care and support, ensuring the well-being and safety of each individual under your care.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment that promotes respect, dignity, and positive interactions.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of years of experience working with individuals who have complex needs, including learning disabilities and mental health challenges.
  • Proficiency in using computers and common software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
