Role Overview:

In the capacity of Marine Fleet Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effective execution of our offshore projects. Your key responsibilities will encompass managing vessel mobilization, ongoing maintenance, and refit operations. This role merges technical acumen with project management expertise, making it suitable for individuals who excel in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Although this position is primarily office-based, it directly supports offshore activities. You will collaborate closely with technical teams, Offshore Managers, and subcontractors to facilitate successful mobilizations and maintenance tasks.

  • Mobilization Oversight: Manage the mobilization process, ensuring vessels are fully equipped, manned, and prepared for deployment while adhering to project-specific guidelines.
  • Equipment Coordination: Supervise the mobilization, commissioning, and maintenance of onboard systems, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and drawings that accurately reflect vessel configurations.
  • Oversee inventory management and asset tracking aboard the vessels.
  • Refits and Enhancements: Direct vessel refits and upgrades, including planning and budgeting, while ensuring modifications are executed effectively.
  • Monitor maintenance requirements and progress related to onboard modifications.
  • Ensure consistency in configuration and setup across the fleet, applying lessons learned to enhance operational methods.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards: Uphold safety protocols and environmental regulations during all mobilization and maintenance activities, fostering a safe working environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or similar) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project scheduling, equipment management, or vessel operations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and handle multiple projects concurrently.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in offshore Geophysical Survey operations.
