Role Overview:

In the capacity of Marine Fleet Operations Manager, you will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient execution of our offshore projects. Your main duties will encompass managing and coordinating all facets of vessel mobilization, ongoing maintenance, and refitting processes. This role merges technical proficiency with project management capabilities, ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Although primarily office-based, this role directly supports offshore operations. You will collaborate closely with vessel technical teams, Offshore Managers, and subcontractors to guarantee successful mobilizations and maintenance activities.

Mobilization Management:

  • Oversee the mobilization process, ensuring vessels are adequately equipped, staffed, and prepared for deployment while adhering to project-specific policies.
  • Assist the Offshore Manager in preparing vessels for offshore operations in alignment with project timelines.

Equipment Oversight:

  • Coordinate equipment mobilization, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of onboard systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, vessel crews, survey management, engineering teams, and third-party contractors for seamless task execution.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and drawings of the vessel to accurately reflect its configuration.
  • Meticulously oversee onboard inventory and assets.

Refits and Enhancements:

  • Manage vessel refits and upgrades, including planning, budgeting, and ensuring efficient execution of modifications.
  • Work with technical, purchasing, and finance teams to maintain budgetary compliance.
  • Track maintenance requirements and progress related to onboard modifications.
  • Ensure consistency in configuration and setup across the fleet, applying lessons learned to enhance operational methods.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards:

  • Adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards during all mobilization and maintenance tasks.
  • Foster a safe working environment, emphasizing quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or similar) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in project scheduling, equipment management, or vessel operations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
  • Experience in offshore Geophysical Survey operations.
