Role Overview:

As the Vessel Fleet Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation of our offshore projects. Your key responsibilities will include managing vessel mobilization, ongoing maintenance, and refits. This role blends technical expertise with project management skills, making it ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Although primarily office-based, this role directly supports offshore operations. You will collaborate closely with vessel technical teams, Offshore Managers, and subcontractors to ensure successful mobilizations and maintenance tasks.

Mobilization Management:

  • Oversee the mobilization process, ensuring vessels are equipped, staffed, and prepared for deployment, adhering to company and project-specific policies.
  • Assist the Offshore Manager in preparing vessels for offshore operations according to project timelines.

Equipment Oversight:

  • Coordinate equipment mobilization, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of onboard systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, vessel crews, survey management, engineering teams, and third-party contractors for seamless operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and drawings of the vessel.
  • Oversee inventory and asset management onboard with precision.

Refits and Enhancements:

  • Manage vessel refits and upgrades, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Work with technical, purchasing, and finance teams to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Track maintenance requirements and progress related to onboard modifications.
  • Promote consistency in configuration and setup across the fleet, applying lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards during all mobilization and maintenance activities.
  • Foster a safe working environment, emphasizing quality, safety, and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or similar) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project scheduling, equipment management, or vessel operations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
  • Experience in offshore Geophysical Survey operations.
