Subsea7 is seeking a Data Management Specialist to join our UK & Global IRM team in Aberdeen, Westhill office.

As a Data Management Specialist, you will report to the Global Data Solutions & Delivery Manager and play a crucial role in organizing, maintaining, and safeguarding the company's geospatial data. This position involves collaborating closely with IT to implement best practices in hybrid cloud technology, handling data integration and migration from various sources and platforms, supervising staff, and working with data owners and stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Ensure robust data security measures are in place.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of master data across all systems.
  • Support the implementation and adherence to data governance policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice on data quality standards and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend suitable Data Management tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT and Business stakeholders to optimize data analytics and workflow processes.
  • Conduct regular data quality checks and audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide support for SQL enterprise database maintenance and optimization.
  • Lead the Data Management team in project execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to standards.
  • Manage big data ingress and egress on Cloud-based portals, ensuring secure and efficient data transfer.
  • Supervise offshore vessel data management processes and oversee data transfer to cloud storage.
  • Guarantee efficient data delivery to both internal and external clients.
  • Troubleshoot end-to-end data workflow issues, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Provide operational data support to various teams and projects.
  • Support Subsea 7 vessels and projects with onboard Survey data storage and management.
  • Coordinate file transfer systems between Subsea 7 entities and third-party stakeholders.
  • Liaise effectively with Subsea 7 IT and Vessel Fleet IT teams to ensure seamless data flow.
Your Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in data governance and quality management.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, database schemas, and various data formats.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Understanding of agile project development methodologies and IT problem-solving techniques.
  • 'Can do' attitude, self-motivated, and well-organized with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience managing large datasets and complex data systems is highly desirable.
