About the Role

BCM Fareva is a leading international FMCG organisation manufacturing cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. We are seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to join our Commercial team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Development:
    • Work with the Key Account Director to understand customer 3-year plans and identify opportunities for growth.
    • Develop proactive customer offers for presentation to the customer, leveraging Fareva's global presence and expertise.
    • Maintain customer accountability and seek expert input as required to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Understand customer needs for proactive value engineering and other business retention requirements, and develop strategies to meet these needs.
    • Proactively market Fareva's facilities and services to customer contacts, highlighting the benefits of partnering with a global FMCG leader.
  • Business Winning Ownership:
    • Evaluate customer briefs and assess if this is viable/desirable business for Fareva, considering factors such as market trends and competitor activity.
    • Understand the customer brief and engage the Fareva teams through the business winning process, ensuring a collaborative and effective approach.
    • Present responses to the customer, ensuring all data and sample requirements are met, and gauge customer response to ensure successful business outcomes.
    • Escalate to the KAD if current business or tenders are at risk, and work together to develop a plan to mitigate these risks.
  • Key Customer Management:
    • Engage with customers throughout the tendering process, providing regular updates and ensuring open communication.
    • Understand competitor situations with each tender, and develop strategies to differentiate Fareva's offerings and secure business wins.
    • Communicate with customers on quality, supply, and write-off issues, and work with internal teams to resolve these issues promptly.
    • Develop a close working relationship with key contacts in sourcing, and review sales and profitability for the area with the KAD on a monthly basis.
Requirements
  • Ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) with demonstrable account management experience in a FMCG environment, and possess a strong understanding of the industry and its trends.
  • Effective team player with attention to detail and excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability in building internal and external networks and making an impact on influential individuals/groups, and a strong analytical capacity and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
