Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust Full time

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a dedicated psychologist to become part of our Enhanced Rehabilitation and Recovery Pathway. This pathway offers both inpatient and community-based services for individuals experiencing persistent mental health challenges, including psychosis.

Our pathway is led by psychology professionals, supported by a well-established team. We are committed to developing pioneering services, utilizing service evaluation and research to enhance our models and interventions. Our team has a notable history of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and obtaining research funding. We maintain strong collaborations with local academic institutions, where qualified psychologists hold honorary lecturer positions. There will be opportunities for engaging in research and teaching, as well as supervising trainee psychologists.

This role is ideal for a qualified clinical psychologist with a passion for service innovation, research, and development.

Key Responsibilities

The Community Enhanced Rehabilitation Team (CERT) is a forward-thinking, psychology-driven team that provides rehabilitation interventions within a community framework. The team has achieved remarkable outcomes, which have been documented in various publications. Our inpatient services are located across two facilities, where psychology is deeply integrated. The hospital placements team assesses service users requiring specialized placements not available within the trust. Psychological formulation will be central to this process, with a primary goal of repatriating individuals whenever feasible and creating care packages that are community-centered.

The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work across the pathway and can tailor their responsibilities based on their expertise and interests.
