Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust Full time

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a dedicated psychologist to become part of our Enhanced Rehabilitation and Recovery Pathway. This pathway encompasses both inpatient and community services aimed at supporting individuals facing persistent mental health challenges, including psychosis.

The pathway is spearheaded by psychology professionals, supported by a well-established team. We are committed to pioneering services, utilizing service evaluation and research to enhance our models and interventions. Our team boasts a strong history of contributions to peer-reviewed publications and successful research funding. We maintain close collaborations with local academic institutions, where qualified psychologists hold honorary teaching positions. Opportunities for research, teaching, and supervision of trainee psychologists are available.

Main Responsibilities

The Community Enhanced Rehabilitation Team (CERT) is a forward-thinking, psychology-driven team that provides rehabilitation interventions within a community framework. The team has achieved remarkable outcomes, which have been documented in published studies. Our inpatient services operate across multiple facilities, where psychological practices are well integrated. The hospital placements team assesses service users requiring specialized placements not available within the organization. Psychological formulation is a key component of this process, with a primary goal of facilitating repatriation when feasible and designing care packages that prioritize proximity to home.

The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work across the pathway and can tailor their responsibilities based on their expertise and interests.
