Pulmonary & COVID Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Covid and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the rehabilitation of patients with COVID and chronic respiratory diseases, working across multiple sites to deliver high-quality, clinically effective care and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist advice and support regarding COVID & Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and other relevant respiratory and cardiac conditions, interventions and treatments to patients and their families and carers.
- Deliver health education to groups of patients and individual patients, ensuring that appropriate, consistent, and realistic information is provided.
- Ensure that all COVID & pulmonary rehabilitation classes are delivered to the highest standard, in line with guidance such as BTS guidance.
- Assess and risk stratify COVID & pulmonary patients according to national guidance and local policy.
- Accountable for own actions in accordance with the relevant professional body's scope of practice.
- Effective communication with community-based colleagues and other allied health professionals.
- Make and receive direct referrals to and from the relevant members of multiprofessional teams, and primary care colleagues.
- Current HCPC/RCN registration or equivalent.
- Relevant undergraduate degree/diploma.
- 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Clinical experience working with COVID, Cardiac or pulmonary patients or patients with other long-term conditions.
- Evidence of CPD.
