About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in the field of Neurology and Stroke rehabilitation, with a strong background in occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and management of the occupational therapy team, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines, pathways, and processes to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support to patients with complex needs.
  • Lead on recruitment and selection activities, ensuring that new staff receive a comprehensive induction package and are supported in their professional development.
  • Manage HR processes, including absence, annual leave, and sickness, and investigate disciplinary issues as required.
  • Participate in the formulation of occupational therapy and multidisciplinary team operational policies, ensuring effective and professional service delivery.
  • Authorise mileage payments, additional hours worked, and equipment authorisation as required.
  • Support the Clinical/Service Leads in the management of the budget, ensuring effective service delivery and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working in the field of Neurology and Stroke rehabilitation.
  • Strong background in occupational therapy, with a focus on clinical leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement clinical guidelines, pathways, and processes to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
