You will be engaged in the acute rehabilitation unit, working closely with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
This position demands a significant level of personal accountability, and we seek an individual with a mature perspective, strong communication abilities, organizational skills, and the capacity to take initiative. You should be self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of functioning independently as well as part of a team. Experience in interacting with a variety of individuals is essential. Proficiency in computer usage is advantageous, as some administrative tasks will be part of your responsibilities.
Candidates should possess experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a support role related to therapy. A clear understanding of the functions of Rehabilitation and Therapy services is required.
Comprehensive induction training, regular supervision, annual performance reviews, and a structured training program will be provided to support your professional growth.
The successful candidate will typically work core hours from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of weekend and holiday shifts as part of a rotating schedule.

Role Responsibilities
The Rehabilitation and Therapy teams provide essential assessments and interventions to patients, promoting independence and optimal functioning through collaboration with patients, families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to achieve desired outcomes.
The Rehabilitation Support Assistant will play a vital role in delivering Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech and Language Therapy within a designated clinical area, encompassing clinical, administrative, and educational responsibilities.
Responsibilities include managing a clinical caseload as assigned by a qualified team member with delegation authority.
You will align your work with Therapy and organizational service priorities.
Engaging with patients, caregivers, and families in a respectful and professional manner is essential.
Collaboration with other professionals to enhance patient care is expected.
You will support individuals with complex needs, including physical, psychological, and communication challenges.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
- Proven experience working effectively within a team environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or as a therapy support assistant.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Understanding of the roles of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy in an acute care setting.
- Experience or knowledge of working with patients with neurological conditions.
