Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust Full time

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to become part of our Enhanced Rehabilitation and Recovery Pathway. This pathway encompasses both inpatient and community-based services aimed at supporting individuals experiencing persistent mental health challenges, including psychosis.

The pathway is spearheaded by a proficient psychology team, committed to pioneering services that leverage service evaluation and research to enhance our therapeutic models and interventions. Our team boasts a strong history of contributions to peer-reviewed publications and successful research funding. We maintain collaborative relationships with local academic institutions, where qualified psychologists hold honorary teaching positions. This role offers avenues for research involvement and educational opportunities, alongside the mentorship of trainee psychologists.

This position is ideal for a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about service innovation, research, and the development of effective therapeutic services.

Main Responsibilities

The Community Enhanced Rehabilitation Team (CERT) is a forward-thinking, psychology-driven group that provides rehabilitation interventions within a community framework. Our team has achieved remarkable outcomes, which have been documented in various publications. Inpatient services are delivered across multiple facilities where psychological practices are well integrated. The hospital placements team assesses service users requiring specialized placements not available within the organization. Psychological formulation is a key component of this process, with a primary goal of facilitating the repatriation of individuals whenever feasible and creating care plans that prioritize proximity to home.

The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work across the pathway and can tailor their responsibilities based on their expertise and interests.
