Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Site Engineer to join our team at Coyle Personnel. As a Mechanical Site Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the installation of mechanical plant and equipment on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and coordinate the installation of mechanical plant and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to site.
  2. Process isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements and issue construction packages to installation supervisors.
  3. Support the development of look-ahead's based on the programme and milestones.
  4. Coordinate plant and equipment installation, including sub-contract activities and ensure all scaffolding and tools are readily available.
  5. Review and report weekly progress against the programme with the M, E & I Installation Manager.

Requirements

  1. Experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects.
  2. Previous experience of project delivery on a nuclear licensed site.
  3. Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, (minimum HNC).
  4. Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications.
  5. IOSH Managing Safely.
  6. Holder of a valid competency card.
  7. Proven ability to manage a small team of supervisors and blue collar operations and sub-contractors.
  8. Experience of Sellafield procedures is an advantage.
  9. Previous experience of working with Shield Doors, Gamma gates and Kuka robot equipment is an advantage.
  10. Previous experience working on the installation of bogey & rail systems in a nuclear environment is an advantage.
  11. Previous experience of working with and on EOTC Cranes is an advantage.
  12. Good communication skills.
