We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Construction Project Manager to become a vital part of our Electricity North West Services team.

Role Overview
This position involves overseeing the successful execution of a range of projects, primarily focused on customer-driven high voltage connections and diversions.

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for understanding client needs and managing the project lifecycle from initial acceptance through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you can expect to:

  • Uphold ENWL's health and safety standards in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure projects align with customer goals, identifying performance improvement areas and proposing effective solutions.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by fostering better communication and interaction on-site.
  • Facilitate the transition of planned projects from design to execution teams, ensuring agreement on timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor project progress against the work schedule, reporting on advancements and identifying potential cost savings.
  • Manage risks associated with operational contractors and ensure compliance with ENWL policies during project execution.
  • Authorize contractor payments upon project completion, including the approval of any changes to the original scope.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, forecast expenditures, and plan future initiatives.
  • Support delivery partners in collaboration with local authorities and other relevant entities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in ENWL systems.
  • Assist Design Engineers with construction-related queries and facilitate coordination between design and execution teams.
  • Participate in on-site meetings with contractors and clients as necessary.
  • Address technical inquiries from contractors and provide appropriate solutions.

Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for the Construction Project Manager position, candidates should possess at least an ONC / City and Guilds level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in the electricity distribution sector. Additionally, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • Experience in health and safety compliance.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Proven abilities in project planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent report writing capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Understanding of LV/HV distribution networks.
  • Possession of ENWL LV Operational Authorisation is a plus.
