We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Construction Manager to become a vital part of our team at ENWL.

Role Overview
This position involves overseeing the effective execution of various projects, primarily focused on high voltage connections and diversions driven by customer needs.

As a Project Construction Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing projects to meet customer objectives, identifying performance improvement areas, and recommending effective solutions.
  • Enhancing customer satisfaction through improved communication and interaction during project execution.
  • Facilitating the formal transition of planned projects from design to execution teams, ensuring alignment on timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Monitoring project progress against the work bank, reporting on advancements, and identifying potential efficiency gains.
  • Addressing operational risks associated with contractors and ensuring adherence to ENWL's policies and procedures.
  • Approving contractor payments upon project completion, including managing variations to ensure effective project management.
  • Conducting regular stakeholder meetings to provide updates, address concerns, forecast expenditures, and plan upcoming tasks.
  • Supporting our delivery partners in coordination with local authorities and other relevant entities as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely updates in ENWL systems.
  • Assisting Design Engineers with construction-related queries and facilitating collaboration between design and construction teams.
  • Participating in on-site meetings with contractors and clients as required.
  • Responding to technical inquiries from contractors and providing appropriate solutions.

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this Project Construction Manager role, candidates should possess a minimum of an ONC / City and Guilds level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in the electricity distribution sector. Additionally, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • Experience in health and safety compliance.
  • Strong customer relationship management and engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated programming and planning capabilities.
  • Proficient report writing skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Proven skills in influencing and teamwork.
  • Understanding of LV/HV distribution networks.
  • ENWL LV Operational Authorisation (preferred).
