Lead Government Relations Strategist

Key Responsibilities for the Lead Government Relations Strategist:

  • Formulate and spearhead their advocacy strategy and program aimed at engaging politicians and stakeholders within central government, local councils, and the business sector, including conducting meetings and providing briefings for key political figures and influencers.
  • Oversee the Public Affairs team, guiding them in managing the department and fostering relationships with All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs).
  • Coordinate public affairs initiatives and events targeting influential audiences, ensuring a strong presence at external engagements.
  • Stay informed on pertinent political and policy changes, delivering summaries and proactive insights as necessary.
  • Establish reporting systems to evaluate the effectiveness of the public affairs program for the Chief Executive, Board directors, and Committees.
