Position: Fire Safety and Security Technician

Location: Ely

Salary: £35,995 - £37,889 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Are you skilled in managing Fire and Security systems? If so, this position may be ideal for you.

We are seeking a Fire Safety and Security Technician to become part of our dedicated Fire and Security team in Ely. You will collaborate with a committed group of professionals responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on critical safety and security systems, including Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, CCTV, warden call systems, and access control, ensuring that all properties remain safe and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct servicing, remedial work, and installation of fire alarms, extinguishers, and security systems, including warden call systems.
  • Maintain systems such as fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, and fire shutters to ensure properties are safe and compliant.
  • Identify and resolve issues, ensuring that clients are kept informed throughout the process.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and that stock levels are adequate.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • To comply with Building Safety legislation, candidates must possess a City & Guilds qualification or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade. FIA industry standard qualifications, Electrical 18th Edition wiring regulations, Safe Isolation, and Small Works Certificate are desirable. Candidates with lower-level qualifications and practical experience who are willing to pursue further qualifications with Sanctuary Group's support are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in a similar role within a fire and security environment.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its application.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose issues effectively and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • A valid UK driving license is required for driving company vehicles.

Candidates will need to present original certification verifying their qualifications during the interview. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
