About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Security Operative to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a Fire and Security Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our properties across East Anglia and the South East region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, extinguishers, and security systems, including warden call and door access.
  • Maintain systems to ensure safe and compliant properties, including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire shutters, and curtains.
  • Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds qualification or NVQ 3 in a relevant trade is desirable. FIA industry standard qualifications, Electrical 18th Edition wiring regulations, Safe Isolation, Small Works Certificate, or currently undertaking the qualification.
  • Experience of undertaking a similar role, working in a fire and security environment.
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Knowledge of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A full valid UK driving licence is required for this role.

  • A competitive salary of £35,995 per annum, rising to £37,889 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance.
