Fire and Security Technician

Sanctuary Group is seeking a skilled Fire and Security Operative to join our team in Ely. As a Fire and Security Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on life safety and security systems, ensuring our properties are safe and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out servicing, remedial works, and installation of fire alarms, extinguishers, and security systems, including warden call.
- Maintain systems, including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire shutters, and curtains, to ensure safe and compliant properties.
- Resolve problems or set in motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed.
- City & Guilds qualification or NVQ 3 in a relevant trade is desirable. FIA industry standard qualifications, Electrical 18th Edition wiring regulations, Safe Isolation, Small Works Certificate, or currently undertaking the qualification.
- Experience of undertaking a similar role, working in a fire and security environment.
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation.
- Knowledge of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
