Facilities Maintenance Technician

Company: The ONE Group Ltd

Work Schedule: Weekdays Only (Monday - Friday)

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Week 2: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Role Objective

We are seeking a skilled professional to ensure the seamless operation of production machinery, focusing on both mechanical and electrical systems. The goal is to minimize downtime through swift identification and resolution of engineering challenges.

Additionally, the role involves recognizing areas for ongoing enhancement by utilizing problem-solving methodologies aligned with the company's continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, enhancing reliability, and lowering operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the facility's Reactive Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, and the sustained reliability of all processing and packaging equipment.
  • Plan and oversee the maintenance of all machinery, including routine servicing, repairs, and inspections.
  • Engage in loss mitigation and efficiency enhancement efforts in collaboration with production staff.
  • Perform risk assessments prior to any maintenance activities and ensure that safety measures are implemented before commencing work to eliminate hazards.
  • Ensure that all assigned mechanical and electrical tasks are executed with full consideration for product safety, quality standards, and employee health and safety.
  • Document all work performed accurately and promptly.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or Food Production environment (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient fault-finding abilities
  • Familiarity with problem-solving techniques
  • Capability to interpret technical drawings and plans
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with equipment such as multi-head weighers, bagging machines, flow wrappers, checkweighers, and conveyor systems is advantageous
