Position: Estate Technician

Location: Ely – Covering Cambridgeshire

Salary: £23,890 - £25,147 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking an Estate Technician to become a vital part of our Estate Services team, primarily based in Ely and responsible for various locations throughout Cambridgeshire. This position entails preparing our vacant properties for new tenants by ensuring they are clean and presentable. Responsibilities include interior cleaning, occasional bulk waste removal, and maintaining the gardens to a tidy standard.

The role necessitates proficiency in using grounds maintenance tools and the ability to travel between sites. While the primary focus will be on East Cambridgeshire, flexibility to cover other areas may be required. A company vehicle and necessary tools will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and preparing properties to a lettable standard
  • Maintaining gardens to an acceptable level
  • Handling miscellaneous work orders, including bulk waste removal
  • Performing grounds maintenance tasks such as grass and hedge trimming
  • Documenting daily work activities and managing inventory levels
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good working order
  • Providing timely updates and accurate information regarding work progress

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Practical experience with compliance testing and operating hand tools and light machinery is advantageous
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Experience working with Housing Associations is beneficial but not mandatory
  • A valid UK driving licence is required for driving company vehicles
