Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at St Mary's Surgery in providing excellent pharmaceutical services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient safety, service development, and personal development.
Main Responsibilities
- Direct work with patients, including supporting safe medication use, repeat prescription reconciliations, and leading Level 1 medication reviews.
- Liaison with Practice colleagues and partner organisations, including care homes, CCG Medicines Optimisation Teams and local Pharmacies.
- Supporting safe systems of working, including leading audits, communicating safety alerts and formulary changes.
- Supporting delivery of contract requirements, including DES contract and QOF targets.

Person Specification
- Essential:
- Managing patient medication.
- Using IT systems to record, analyse and communicate information accurately.
- Desirable:
- More than three years experience working within Primary Care.
- Using the SystmOne clinical system.
- Essential Criteria:
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
- Satisfactory employment references.
- Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent in both Maths and English at Grade C or above.
- Appropriately qualified and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
