We are seeking a visionary Director of Category and Vendor Management to lead our commercial strategy and day-to-day category management, ensuring our platform continues to set the standard in luxury and premium convenience retail.

As the Director of Retail, you will be at the helm of our category management, buying, and merchandising teams. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies that ensure our platform features the most relevant and sought-after products. You will oversee partnership opportunities, manage the merchandising strategy, and ensure all content meets our high standards. Your leadership will be crucial in keeping our product offerings ahead of key trends and maintaining our premium positioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the category management and buying teams, ensuring a strategic approach to product selection and inventory management.
  • Ensure the platform's merchandising remains focused on luxury, with best-in-class content and innovative strategies to showcase products effectively, enhancing the customer shopping experience.
  • Build and implement strategies to ensure the platform features the most relevant and in-demand products.
  • Develop a robust network of industry contacts to source new and exclusive products.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to optimize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of commercial initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in a retail leadership role within a premium retail or e-Commerce environment.
  • Proven track record of leading category management, buying, and merchandising teams.
  • A passion for customer obsession, with a proven ability to translate customer needs into business strategy.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Strong network within the retail industry, with a keen ability to identify and capitalize on trends.
  • Proficiency in e-Commerce platforms and relevant tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills including excellent knowledge of Google Workspace, in particular knowledge of Looker is advantageous.
